Special Features:

Part of the GrapeDiggaz core range, this VSOP blends Cognacs from several crus, with Bons Bois forming the main component alongside Fins Bois and Grande Champagne. The spirits are made from Ugni Blanc grapes and mature for four to ten years in French oak casks. The age classification therefore covers a blend of Cognacs with different maturation periods rather than a single-cask bottling.

GrapeDiggaz works with the house of Vallein Tercinier for its core range. The Cognac is bottled in batches of 500 litres and is suitable both for drinking neat and for cocktails. It contains no added sugar or colouring and is not chill-filtered. Each bottle contains 0.7 litres at 46.3% alcohol.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Yellow apple, peach, banana and white grapes shape the nose. Vanilla and mint leaves complement the fruit, joined by subtle butter and wax notes. A youthful, slightly rough edge remains noticeable. Freshly sawn wood develops into an impression somewhere between metal and resin.
• Palate: The Cognac feels soft on the palate, recalling buttery pastries and apple cake. Vanilla accompanies a light note of white chocolate. Mirabelle plums and peach appear subtly alongside grapes. Towards the end, the flavour becomes grassier and less expansive.
• Finish: The fairly long finish remains warm and fruity, accompanied by liquorice and a subtle hint of green oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Vallein Tercinier is a family-run Cognac house based at Domaine des Forges in Chermignac, in the Saintonge region. Louis Vallein bought the estate in 1791. Georges Vallein founded the trading business in 1850 and began selling bottled Cognac. He developed the business as an estate owner, distiller and merchant. Later, the distillery's eight stills supplied spirits both to the house itself and to other trading houses. In the 1990s, Louis and Catherine Tercinier divided responsibility for winegrowing and trading between them.

GrapeDiggaz is a joint Cognac and Armagnac bottling project by Wu DRAM Clan and Kirsch Import. Alongside limited single-cask bottlings, its range includes a core series of VSOP and XO Cognacs. The team personally selects small batches and maintains close contact with the producers. For its Cognacs, it chose Vallein Tercinier; the partnership brings that house's cellar stocks together with GrapeDiggaz's approach to selection.
