This Cognac combines 25 years of cask maturation with its Petite Champagne origins. Grosperrin bottles it at 41.8% in a 0.7-litre bottle, presented in gift packaging.

At bottling, the Cognac undergoes only light filtration at room temperature, without chill filtration. No colouring is added. This restrained treatment is part of Grosperrin’s approach to the Cognacs in its Collection.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, rose and lavender meet dates and dried mango. An aroma reminiscent of vanilla ice cream complements the floral and fruity notes.
• Palate: On the palate, the Cognac recalls rose chocolates and white chocolate. A variety of dried fruits and Bourbon vanilla add to these flavours.
• Finish: The finish is distinctly sweet and layered.

Distillery/Bottler:

Grosperrin is an independent family business with a history closely tied to the trade in rare Cognacs. Jean Grosperrin became a Cognac broker in 1992, gaining an insight into the stocks held by small distillers. In 1999, he bought several old casks whose Cognacs the family bottled in small quantities rather than allowing them to disappear into large blends. His son Guilhem has run the business since 2004.

Alongside selecting Cognacs, Grosperrin also oversees the further maturation of selected stocks. Since 2012, the house has used historic cellars on the banks of the Charente in Saintes. When choosing casks, it favours wood with gentle tannins and avoids heavy toasting, so that woody notes do not overshadow the spirit’s fruit.
