Special Features:

Hyde No.10 is made from 100% malted barley. The single malt matures in charred first-fill ex-bourbon casks made from white oak before being finished in Calvados Garnier casks from Normandy. It is bottled at 46% without chill filtration or added colouring.

The bottling commemorates Douglas Hyde, whose seven-year term as the first President of Ireland lasted from 25 June 1938 to 24 June 1945.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh citrus fruit, apples and pears come to the fore on the nose, complemented by a hint of almond.
• Palate: On the palate, creamy notes of peach, pear, watermelon and vanilla mingle with apricot, baking spices, sweet pastries and floral nuances.
• Finish: The finish is long, smooth and buttery, with lingering malt, toffee and vanilla.

The company selects whiskey from Irish distilleries and sources suitable casks directly from distilleries and bodegas in various countries. Hibernia Distillers is responsible for the selection, cask finishing and bottling, while the finishing maturation takes place in its bonded warehouse in County Cork.
