Special Features:

Iguana combines Panamanian rum production with a recipe passed down from Cuba. Made from molasses, the rum matures for five years in oak casks. This develops a rounded flavour in which pronounced vanilla meets sugar-cane sweetness, a little spice and a hint of oak.

Tropical fruit notes accompany its mild, slightly buttery character. At 40% alcohol, it can be enjoyed over ice or used in long drinks. Suitable classics include the Mojito and Cuba Libre.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, exotic fruits mingle with creamy vanilla. A delicate alcoholic note emerges later.
• Palate: The rum feels rounded and balanced on the palate. Pineapple and coconut are accompanied by subtle oak spice.
• Finish: The medium-length finish leaves fruity notes and a sweetness reminiscent of sugar syrup.

Distillery/Bottler:

Iguana is part of the range offered by family-run Aceo Spirits. The company works with spirits producers, bottling facilities and bonded warehouses, and operates its own storage and bottling facilities in Scotland's Speyside region. Alongside selecting spirits, its work includes developing brands, bottle presentations and labels. The rum for Iguana is distilled in Panama.
