This Invergordon comes from cask 52900378 and belongs to Duncan Taylor’s Rare Auld Grain series. Distilled in May 2011, the whisky matured for 14 years before being bottled in May 2025. The single cask yielded 341 bottles of 0.7 litres each.

The whisky was bottled at cask strength of 54.3%. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured and comes in a tube. Its sweet, creamy character brings together honey and vanilla with caramel, apple and gentle spice.

• Nose: Honey and vanilla stand out on the nose, joined by creamy caramel and apple.
• Palate: Honey and vanilla dominate the palate. The texture is creamy and the sweetness gentle, with fruit notes and light spice alongside them.
• Finish: The finish is sweet and rounded, lasting from medium to long.

Distillery/Bottler:

Invergordon was founded in the Scottish Highlands in 1959 and began operating in 1961. The distillery produces single grain whisky in tall column stills. It uses maize, malted and unmalted barley, and Scottish wheat for its grain whisky; its water comes from Loch Glass.

Duncan Taylor is an independent bottler based in Huntly. Founded in Glasgow in 1938, the company initially traded whisky casks and built up stocks of mature malt and grain whiskies. It now has its own cask storage, cooperage and bottling facilities in Huntly. Duncan Taylor bottled this whisky; Invergordon distilled it.
