Special features: The Isle of Harris Single Malt Whisky is produced at the Isle of Harris Distillery, which was founded in 2015 and is the first legal distillery on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. This whisky is part of the Signature Edition and is a part of the Core Range. The bottling is done in original bottling without additional packaging. It has an alcohol content of 46% and is offered in a 700 ml bottle.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals aromas of butterscotch, cherry pie, and sugar glaze. Delicate fruity and floral notes give the nose a pleasant sweetness.
- Palate: The palate presents rich, buttery-sweet caramel notes, enriched with flavors of cloves and ginger. A dry, maritime character ensures a balanced taste.
- Finish: The finish is long and creamy, with a gentle aftertaste of peat smoke.
Distillery/Bottler: The Isle of Harris Distillery is known for its motto "Made, Matured and Married in the Outer Hebrides." The Isle of Harris Single Malt is distilled at the Harris Distillery in the village of Tarbert and matures in selected ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. These casks are stored in the local warehouses of Ardhasaig under the ideal conditions of the maritime island climate.
