Extended oak-cask maturation shapes this Vieille Réserve from Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru of the Cognac region. Over more than twenty years, the cognac develops its fruity, spicy character with distinctive rancio notes. Jean-Luc Pasquet combines intense fruit aromas with a velvety texture.

The cognac is offered at 42.1% in a bottle containing 0.7 litres. Its colour develops without added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals intense notes of dried and candied fruit. Cinnamon and rancio complement the fruity aromas.
• Palate: The cognac feels velvety and almost oily on the palate. Nuances of Muscat grapes and orange blossom linger.
• Finish: The long finish is dry, with rancio shaping the lingering impression.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Pasquet family estate is located in Chez Ferchaud near Éraville, now part of Bellevigne. Jean-Luc Pasquet and his wife Marie-Françoise began converting their vineyards to organic methods in 1995; the estate received Agriculture Biologique certification in 1998. Today, their son Jean runs the business, having learned the craft from his father since childhood. For its own cognac production, the family uses natural yeasts for fermentation and distils the wine with its lees.
