Special Features:

Bourbon Barrel #700377 is at the heart of this single-cask bottling, having matured the Jura single malt for twelve years. It was distilled in April 2014 and bottled by Signatory Vintage in June 2026 for the Cask Strength Collection at a cask strength of 58.9%. The cask yielded 211 bottles. It was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.

Its sweet side recalls vanilla and buttery cream caramel, while fine tannins and salt provide an austere contrast. Resinous and nutty accents together with robust oak lead into a long, dry and mineral finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense vanilla and buttery cream caramels emerge first. Fine, slightly austere tannins and a salty note provide the counterpoint.
• Palate: The sweetness of caramel and vanilla contrasts with pronounced salinity and spicy tannins. Resinous and nutty accents alongside robust oak accompany the powerful body.
• Finish: Spicy wood and mineral salinity come together in the long, dry finish, with caramel lingering as a subtle trace.

Distillery/Bottler:

Jura Distillery stands on the coast of the Scottish Isle of Jura. It was founded in 1810 as Small Isles Distillery and resumed operations in 1963 after an interruption lasting more than six decades. Its particularly tall and broad stills increase contact with copper during distillation, encouraging a fruity and aromatic new make spirit.

For this release, independent bottler Signatory Vintage selected Bourbon Barrel #700377. Signatory bottles selected single malts one cask at a time, placing the individual cask’s influence on colour, aroma and flavour at the forefront. In the case of this Jura, that approach takes the form of a cask-strength release in the Cask Strength Collection, limited to 211 bottles.
