Kilchoman Sanaig - Mini without GP

Special features: The Kilchoman Sanaig is a single malt whisky from the renowned Kilchoman Distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. This miniature whisky has been matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, with the higher proportion of sherry casks giving the Sanaig a particularly fruity note. Bottled at 46% alcohol by volume, it comes without the addition of coloring and without chill filtration.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh white grapes and caramelized pineapple with a pleasant bitterness reminiscent of freshly brewed coffee. In the background, an earthy, light peat note.
• Palate: Vineyard peach combines with dark chocolate and raisins, accompanied by blackberries. Peat notes and a peppery spiciness develop into a spectacular finish.
• Finish: Very long-lasting with a salty coastal peat note.

Distillery/Bottler: The Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 on the Rockside Farm in the northwest of Islay and is known for its traditional production methods. As one of the few farm distilleries in Scotland, Kilchoman grows some of its own barley and malts it on-site. The distillery places great emphasis on quality and authenticity, which is reflected in its products.
