Special Features:

Finest Select is a multi-cask bottling that combines whisky from Chinese liqueur wine casks, new American oak casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 40%, this single malt brings bourbon and sherry maturation together with a Chinese cask type; notes of Wuyi rock tea contribute to its distinctive aromatic profile.

On the nose, floral and roasted notes of Wuyi black tea mingle with red apple, fragrant pear, grape and cinnamon. The whisky is soft, silky and airy on the palate; ripe yellow fruit and cream pastries lead into a long, delicate finish with dried fruit and gentle spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Laizhou Distillery is located in Qionglai, in the Chinese province of Sichuan, and Finest Select is an official bottling from the distillery. Its production complex comprises eight pot stills and seven distillation columns.

At the distillery's own STR workshop, casks are shaved, toasted and re-charred. Bacchus Liquor (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. lists Laizhou among its brands.
