Special Features:

Jacob's Dram is dedicated to founder Jakob Baumberger. The single malt matures entirely in selected Pinot Noir casks, which shape its fruity, woody character.

Its character combines apples, dark berries and raisins with sweet wood, vanilla, nuts and spiced pastries. A delicate fruit acidity complements the sweetness.

Batch 593/09/25 is presented at 49.12% in a 0.5-litre bottle with a wooden box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, sweet wood, fresh Gugelhopf batter and raisins mingle with apples, dark berries and delicate spice.
• Palate: The whisky is balanced, sweet and creamy on the palate; vanilla and wood accompany fruity notes, gingerbread, roasted nuts and bitter almond.
• Finish: The finish is long, rounded and warming, leaving delicate Gugelhopf and toasted aromas, pleasant sweetness, mild fruit acidity and woody spice.

Langatun Distillery AG produces Jacob's Dram in Switzerland and offers the whisky as its own single malt bottling.

Jakob Baumberger founded a distillery in Langenthal in 1857. Hans Baumberger III resumed whisky production in 2005. Distillation has taken place in the listed Kornhaus building in Aarwangen since 2014, while cask maturation continues in Langenthal.
