Special Features: The Langatun Old Wolf Smoky Whisky masterfully combines the smoky aromas of peat-smoked malt with the fruity sweetness of sherry casks. The aging in oak barrels that previously held red wine gives this single malt additional depth and complexity. The new packaging emphasizes the quality of this fine drop.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Caramel, roasted almonds, subtle salty notes, ripe peach, forest honey, cherry compote, and a hint of sweet smoke in the background.
- Palate: Intense and spicy with slightly sweet notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, wood, cloves, and harmoniously embedded peat smoke.
- Finish: Aromatic with subtle tannins, rather dry, woody, and a light smoke.
