Lazy Dodo Rum
Special features: The Lazy Dodo Rum is a tribute to the landmark of the island of Mauritius, the flightless Dodo, which became extinct in the 18th century. This rum is made from sugarcane that is cultivated in a 37-hectare botanical garden. After harvesting, the sugarcane is processed into molasses and then fermented for 24 to 48 hours. The aging takes place in a combination of American and French oak barrels as well as bourbon barrels, resulting in a complex and balanced flavor.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh aromas of citrus and exotic fruits, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and light wood notes.
- Palate: Well-structured body with a harmonious balance between delicate sweetness and subtle wood notes.
