Bourbon cask maturation shapes this peated single malt from Ledaig's core range. It matures for ten years, combining powerful smoke with sweet, malty and maritime notes. The whisky is bottled at 46.3% without chill filtration or added colouring. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, sweet and salty smoke combines with soft peat notes. Subtle hints of disinfectant, tar and wax polish accompany mint chocolate and coastal floral notes.
• Palate: On the palate, sweet and medicinal notes meet spicy pepper and dried fruit. Powerful peat smoke contrasts with velvety vanilla and creamy malt.
• Finish: The finish brings together spicy white pepper, sweet liquorice and cloves. A salty note lingers.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1798, Tobermory Distillery stands by the harbour in Tobermory on the Scottish island of Mull. It draws its water from the nearby Gearr Abhainn stream. The same distillery produces two distinct whisky styles: unpeated single malt under the Tobermory name and a peated counterpart under Ledaig.

Between 2017 and 2019, the distillery underwent extensive renovation to make its operations more efficient and sustainable. It continues to produce its whiskies in small batches. As Master Blender, Julieann Fernandez is responsible for the flavour direction of both whisky ranges.
