Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose is complex and mature, characterized by dried fruits. Accents of walnut, leather, and dark caramel combine with old oak wood, tobacco, and a hint of orange peel, underlined by fine spices.
- Palate: On the palate, the whisky presents itself silky and intense. Dark chocolate, nuts, and Oloroso dryness unite with toffee, malt, and very ripe oak, leading to maximum depth and balance.
- Finish: The finish is very long and dry-spicy. Cocoa, nut, old oak, and a hint of sherry fruit remain present for a long time, giving the whisky an elegant, warm, and voluminous note.
Distillery/Bottler: The bottling comes from Signatory Vintage, a company founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington. The Linkwood Distillery is located in Speyside and was involved in the distillation of the whisky in June 1995. This bottling is part of the Cask Strength Collection, which includes special single casks. The bottling is planned for April 2026 and reflects the high-quality craftsmanship of Signatory Vintage.
