Special Features:

For this small-batch release, Elixir Distillers combined whisky from four refill hogsheads. The Linkwood single malt was distilled in 2014, matured for eleven years and bottled in 2025 at 48% under The Single Malts of Scotland brand. It was not chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Alongside the fresh orchard-fruit notes are white flowers, lemongrass, vanilla and butterscotch. The fruit is balanced by malt and restrained oak.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose brings green apple, pear skin and fresh malt, alongside vanilla, flowers and a hint of white pepper.
• Palate: Silky and fresh on the palate, the whisky combines orchard fruit and barley sweetness with gentle spice and restrained oak.
• Finish: The finish stays clear and gently peppery, with a light herbal note, lingering fruit and soft malt.

Distillery/Bottler:

Peter Brown founded Linkwood Distillery on the outskirts of Elgin in 1821; production began four years later. A second stillhouse was built alongside the older facilities in 1971. Linkwood is now part of Diageo.

Independent bottler Elixir Distillers grew out of the whisky business of brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh. In 2002, Sukhinder Singh first bottled whisky from a selected cask under The Single Malts of Scotland brand; the bottling business has been called Elixir Distillers since 2017.
