Special features: This limited release from North Star Spirits masterfully combines three Oloroso Octaves and two Refill Hogsheads into a 9-year-old Linkwood Single Malt. Bottled in 2025 at natural cask strength of 52.9% ABV, this whisky presents itself in its purest form, without chill filtration and without coloring.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of ripe apples, pears, and peaches, accompanied by raisins, vanilla, and a hint of caramel. Delicate spice notes and a touch of oak round off the bouquet.
- Palate: Creamy and complex with sweet malt, toffee, and intense sherry notes of dried fruits. Vanilla, pastry, and fine oak spice add depth and balance.
- Finish: Long-lasting and harmonious with notes of honey, raisins, and a pleasant malty warmth.
