Special features: The Lochlea Distillery, an independent, family-run farm distillery in the Scottish Lowlands, uses exclusively its own barley grown on the Lochlea Farm. Under the leadership of John Campbell, former Distillery Manager at Laphroaig, the whisky is distilled and matured on-site. "Our Barley" is the first standard release of the distillery and combines the flavor diversity of the region in a sophisticated blend of First Fill Bourbon Barrels, Oloroso Sherry Butts, and STR Barriques.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Strong aroma of pear syrup and fruit candies, followed by hints of spicy jam and cinnamon.
• Palate: Typical Lochlea notes of fresh fruits and grains with rich, light syrup.
• Finish: Macadamia nuts, cream soda with vanilla notes, and a wonderfully lingering note of orange beeswax.

Distillery/Bottler: The Lochlea Distillery was founded in 2018 and is located on the historic Lochlea Farm in Ayrshire, Scotland, where the famous poet Robert Burns lived and worked from 1777 to 1784. Under the leadership of John Campbell, former Distillery Manager at Laphroaig, the distillery produces single malt whiskies with a focus on quality and authenticity.
