Special features: This rare single malt whisky was distilled in 1991 at the legendary Lochside Distillery and bottled in 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series. It was matured in a refill bourbon barrel, resulting in a limited edition of only 57 bottles. Each bottle is individually numbered and presented in an elegant wooden box. The Lochside Distillery, once located in Montrose, is no longer in operation, making this whisky a coveted collector's item.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Inviting aromas of ripe fruits, accompanied by subtle vanilla and oak notes.
Palate: Full-bodied and balanced with a harmonious combination of sweet malt notes and spicy accents.

Distillery/Bottler: The Lochside Distillery was founded in 1957 in Montrose, Scotland, and produced both malt and grain whiskies. After several changes of ownership, production ceased in 1992, and the distillery was demolished in 2005. Gordon & MacPhail is a renowned independent bottler, known for selecting and bottling rare and high-quality whiskies.
