This whisky is bottled at cask strength with an alcohol content of 57.1%. It matures for almost 4 years in refill bourbon casks and over 2 years in refill Pinot Noir casks. It is not chill-filtered, which is expected to enhance the consistency of texture and rich flavors.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, the Longrow 100 Proof shows intense smoke, complemented by medicinal notes and fruity hints of red currants and citrus fruits. Also present are aromas of dried seaweed, red apples, marzipan, burnt toast, and a light touch of smoke.
• Palate: On the palate, the whisky is oily and sweet, characterized by more phenolic notes and burnt oak. Additionally, a slight meaty touch, mineral notes, and earthy peat come through, along with a hint of sweet red fruits. Furthermore, black peppercorns, roasted nuts, and a creamy maltiness are noticeable before more campfire smoke becomes present at the end.
• Finish: The finish is long-lasting, accompanied by salty notes, black pepper, and more oak. A gentle bitter edge rounds off the tasting experience.
