The whisky is heavily peated and offers a distinctive flavor variety. It was not chill-filtered, allowing the aromas to fully unfold.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: On the nose, there is a soft peat influence reminiscent of smoked shellfish and cured meat, balanced with sweet notes of apricot and peach.
- Palate: The peat influence becomes more robust on the palate, yet retains the typical coastal characteristics of Longrow, with notes of seaweed and samphire. The sweetness from the nose remains in notes of soft, ripe berries.
- Finish: The finish is delicate and creamy, with notes of raspberries, caramelized butter, cranachan, and lingering peat smoke.
Distillery/Bottler: The Longrow 21 years 2022 Release is produced and bottled by the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland.
