Special features: The Macaloney Kildara is a Canadian single malt produced through triple distillation in Forsyths pot stills. This method gives it remarkable softness and complexity. The aging takes place in a careful combination of Kentucky bourbon barrels, Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry barriques, as well as virgin American oak casks, resulting in a multifaceted flavor profile. With 575 bottles filled, it is also available in limited edition.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fruity aromas of dried fruit cake, vanilla cream with cinnamon, Demerara sugar, and spicy leather notes. Tropical fruits like candied oranges, dried apricots, figs, ripe blackberries, blackcurrant jam, dried raisins, and roasted nuts complement the bouquet.
• Palate: Velvety smooth with full-bodied sherry and tropical fruit notes. Flavors of oatmeal, oak spices, coffee, dark chocolate orange, nectarines, plum compote, black and red currants, as well as sultanas unite into a sweet, dark fruit cake with honey notes.
• Finish: Long-lasting with dried fruits, a hint of salt and bladderwrack, lingering oak, and more sherry, ending with aromas of hazelnut and almond raspberry cake, along with a touch of dark chocolate.
