Italian lemons and Amalfi lemon peel are central to Malfy Gin con Limone. Alongside hand-picked juniper, they give this gin its citrus-led character. In addition to water and alcohol, the finished recipe contains juniper and lemon peel distillates, natural flavourings and sugar.

The botanicals are first steeped in alcohol, then vacuum-distilled at low temperatures to preserve their delicate aromas and flavours. Water from Piedmont brings the distillate to its bottling strength of 41%. Coriander, cassia, angelica, iris and liquorice add further botanical nuances to the lemon and juniper character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Lemon dominates the nose, with the fragrance of its peel. Hints of grapefruit and orange, coriander and delicate spice complement the balsamic juniper in the background.
• Palate: The gin is smooth and fresh on the palate. Pronounced lemon flavours combine with herbs and a light touch of spice.
• Finish: Lively citrus freshness persists through the long finish, while juniper lingers in the background.

Distillery/Bottler:

Malfy is produced at Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, Piedmont. The company was established in 1992 through the acquisition of a historic vermouth business. Alongside its own drinks, Torino Distillati develops and produces beverages for other brands, with work spanning recipe development, production and bottling. Malfy has belonged to Pernod Ricard since 2019; the brand draws inspiration from Italy’s Amalfi Coast for both its flavours and its design.
