Special Features:

For 100 Proof Edition #51, Signatory Vintage selected 11-year-old Mannochmore matured in First Fill Pedro Ximénez Quarter Casks and Refill Hogsheads. Both cask types had previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry. Distilled in 2014, the whisky was bottled in 2025 at 57.1%. It is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

The small Quarter Casks and larger Hogsheads bring together different cask sizes and degrees of prior use. Dark fruit and the sweetness of dates and raisins contrast with fresh fruit notes and oak spice. The texture is dense and oily. The name 100 Proof Edition refers to its bottling strength of 57.1% ABV.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe plums and dark berries meet raisins and caramel. A hint of mocha and cinnamon completes the aroma.
• Palate: Dates, dried figs and bittersweet dark chocolate emerge on the palate. Pronounced oak spice gives structure to the full, powerful mouthfeel.
• Finish: The long finish combines dark chocolate with woody spice, while dried fruit lingers subtly.

Distillery/Bottler:

Mannochmore was founded in 1971 in Birnie, south of Elgin. The Speyside distillery was built as a counterpart to the neighbouring Glenlossie Distillery. Most of its whisky goes into blended Scotch; single malt bottlings under its own name are relatively rare.

Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Co. Ltd. is the independent bottler of this release. Andrew Symington founded Signatory Vintage with his brother in 1988. Selecting individual casks and small batches is central to the company’s work. Since 2007, it has been based entirely at the Edradour Distillery site in Pitlochry. For this edition, Signatory selected and bottled whisky made by Mannochmore.
