Special features: Mars The Y.A. #2 Peated is a blended malt that combines the smoky single malts from the Shinshu and Tsunuki distilleries. The maturation takes place on the tropical island of Yakushima, whose climate with high humidity and warm temperatures sustainably shapes the whisky. The combination of three different Mars locations provides impressive complexity, with this bottling representing the peated variant of the series.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Sun-ripened fruits like mandarin, peach, and banana open the impression. Distinct notes of sea air remind of the Pacific coasts, while vanilla and soft white smoke underline the complexity and sweetness.
• Palate: Tropical aromas unfold densely and lushly. With a peat content of around 15 ppm, a delicate smoke presents itself, gently enveloping the palate. Mineral and salty nuances provide an almost watery freshness.
• Finish: Long-lasting with a balanced, oily-rich profile that resonates pleasantly.
