Special Features: The 2024 release of Meikle Tòir presents itself as an intensely peated Speyside single malt with an impressive 70 ppm phenol content. The maturation took place in five virgin oak casks and four Oloroso sherry hogsheads, resulting in a complex whisky with strong peat smoke and full fruit notes. The use of mainland peat from St. Fergus provides a sweeter smoke balance, highlighting GlenAllachie's ambitious interpretation of this smoky style.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Cedar wood and the aroma of a cigar box, underlined by butterscotch, mocha, and orange peel, complemented by delicate hints of honey and plum jam.
• Palate: Rich dark chocolate meets smoked honey and mocha. Behind this, notes of fig syrup, beet syrup, and burnt sugar unfold, accompanied by a lasting smoky finish.
• Finish: Pleasantly long-lasting with a balanced connection of sweet sherry influence and pronounced peat smoke.
