• Finish: The finish is dry and tannic.

Distillery/Bottler:

The history of Meukow began with the brothers Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow, who came from Silesia. From 1850, they travelled to France to source eaux-de-vie; in 1862, they opened a trading office in the town of Cognac. Meukow has belonged to the family-run Compagnie de Guyenne since 1979. In 1993, Michel Coste developed the panther-adorned bottle that became the brand's hallmark.

The house's work centres on selecting, ageing and blending eaux-de-vie. Following the double distillation of the wines, the selected spirits are aged in oak casks for at least two years. Cellar master Anne Sarteaux combines different ages and growing areas to create the house style: Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne contribute floral notes, while Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Borderies bring fruity and woody impressions.
