Special features: This limited single cask rum from South Africa has been fully matured in a former brandy cask and presents a distinctive, almost mezcal-like profile. The bottling includes only 419 bottles, which are presented in an elegant wooden box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: An intense aroma of vanilla, lime, jasmine, warm cane sugar, anise, and star anise. Over time, aromas of white flowers such as lilac and lily of the valley, green walnut, and freshly mown grass unfold.
• Palate: Lively and fresh with notes of green mint, lemon verbena, and citrus fruits. A spicy touch of ginger and clove, as well as a hint of licorice and acacia honey enrich the tasting experience.
• Finish: Long and mineral with hints of slate and schist. Aromas of lime, lemon balm, and green walnut give the finish freshness, while milky notes of agave and resinous tones of sugarcane fiber and gentian root round off the finish.

Distillery/Bottler: The Mhoba Distillery, founded by Robert Greaves in 2011, is located in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It produces rum from pure sugarcane juice, which is distilled in handcrafted pot stills. The entire production process, from planting the sugarcane plants to bottling the bottles, takes place on-site.
