Special features: Mortlach has relied on a unique 2.81-fold distillation since 1896, which takes place in six differently shaped copper pot stills. The smallest of these, “The Wee Witchie,” shapes the characterful style of this single malt. For the Mortlach 12 y.o., maturation occurs in a combination of European sherry casks and American bourbon casks, giving the whisky a special depth and complexity.
