Special Features:

For this liqueur, NORK combines its Doppelkorn base with fresh organic lemon and organic ginger. The ingredients are peeled, cut and pressed by hand. Gentle lemon acidity and pronounced, refreshing ginger heat contrast with a pleasant sweetness. NORK deliberately keeps added sugar low and uses no colouring, artificial flavourings or flavour enhancers.

The vegan liqueur is bottled at 20% alcohol in a 0.5-litre bottle. Natural suspended particles may settle over time, so shake the bottle before pouring. Enjoy it ice-cold on its own, serve it over ice with sparkling wine as a spritz, or add soda water for a long drink.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: An intense citrus aroma unfolds on the nose.
• Palate: The palate opens with zesty lemon acidity, followed by warming ginger heat.
• Finish: The long finish is smooth and slightly sweet.

Distillery/Bottler:

NORK was founded by siblings Ann-Katrin and Johann Dallmeyer. After two years of development, they launched their first Korn in October 2016; a large proportion of the first 300 bottles had already been sold through crowdfunding. The brand set out to re-establish Korn as a distinctive spirit to be savoured in its own right. As a designer, Ann-Katrin also shapes the appearance of the bottles.

During its first years of production, NORK worked with Hanschen Harm in Scheessel. Since mid-2019, the brand has worked with Feinbrennerei Sasse on its Korn spirits. Liqueurs joined the range in 2018, initially as limited editions. These developed into a range combining natural ingredients, unusual flavour pairings and modest additions of sugar. The lemon and ginger liqueur was developed together with Kalabums from Bremen.
