This eight-year-old single malt comes from Speyside, although the specific distillery is not disclosed. The bottle contains 0.7 litres, and the whisky was bottled at 40%.

Dense dried fruit, chocolate and gentle spices shape its approachable, distinctly sherry-led style. Nutty and jam-like impressions lead into the woody cask spice of the finish.

The influence of Palomino, oak and oxidative maturation forms the flavour concept behind this release. The whisky is not chill-filtered and contains no colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, chocolate biscuits and honeyed barley combine with raisins, dried apricot, hickory, pecan and pepper.
• Palate: The palate brings jam on seeded bread, cherries and almonds alongside malty chocolate, complemented by a very subtle earthy note and a little maple syrup.
• Finish: The long finish brings together sherry-soaked fruit, ginger biscuits and woody cask spices.

Distillery/Bottler:

This is an &Whisky release bottled by Atom Labs. The Speyside distillery used for the whisky is not disclosed. Atom Labs was established within Atom Brands in 2019 as a development workshop for new spirits concepts. Atom Brands grew out of the online retailer Master of Malt and began operating in 2011.
