Special Features:

This Highland Single Malt from the Glen Ord Distillery matured for thirteen years in a single 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel. It was distilled in December 2012 and bottled by Scotch Universe in June 2026 at 53.1%; the edition comprises 217 bottles.

Maturation in the 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel accentuates the bright fruit and complements the grassy herbal spice with vanilla and gentle cask spice. The whisky was bottled at cask strength, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fine grassy and herbal spice appears first on the nose. Pineapple and juicy Galia melon follow.
• Palate: Elegant herbal spice defines the opening on the palate. Pineapple and Galia melon follow, with the freshness of Moroccan mint appearing last.
• Finish: The finish is medium in length, grassy and herbal, accompanied by gentle, subtle sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Glen Ord Distillery produced this Single Malt in the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1838, the distillery is located near Inverness, and a large proportion of its production is used for blended whiskies.

Scotch Universe GmbH bottled the single bourbon cask as an independent bottler. Led by Michel Reick, the company works with its own whisky stocks held in Scottish warehouses. The German office develops and manages the maturation projects, while the Glasgow team handles purchasing, storage, maturation and distribution.
