Patridom Gran Reserva combines fresh sugarcane juice with tropical cask maturation in the Dominican Republic. The components of this blend spend four to six years in American and French oak casks before being blended and sweetened with cane sugar.

Bottled at 40% alcohol, this rum is not chill-filtered. Its light body combines pronounced sweetness with apricot aromas and subtle coffee and chocolate notes.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Juicy apricots bring a slightly tart note to the nose, developing into impressions of brown sugar, milk chocolate and maple syrup.
• Palate: The palate offers a pleasant sweetness with a hint of vanilla. The body remains light, with subtle coffee and dark chocolate notes complementing the flavour.
• Finish: A vanilla note lingers on the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos produces Patridom in the Dominican Republic using sugarcane from its own fields. Fermentation, distillation and maturation of the core range also take place in the country. The distillery uses column distillation to produce a light, Spanish-style rum.

The name Patridom combines the Spanish words patrimonio and dominicano, referring to Dominican heritage. The Danish company 1423 ApS is behind the brand. The label pays tribute to the history of the Dominican Republic and its connection with sugarcane and rum.
