These bottlings come from the Penderyn Distillery in Wales and include the whiskies Myth, Legend, and Celt. All whiskies are single malts with an alcohol content of 40%. Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose blends fresh apples and citrus fruits with cream fudge and sultanas, leading to a complex, fresh, and balanced impression.
- Palate: The palate is incredibly smooth, with prominent fresh and rich dried fruits. A delicate sweetness is complemented by a slight bitter note that keeps the impression refreshing.
- Finish: The finish reveals a long aftertaste of Madeira cake and sultanas.
Distillery/Bottler: The Penderyn Distillery was founded in 2000 in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It uses a special Faraday still distillation that produces a particularly pure and elegant distillate. The distillery's whiskies have a kosher certificate and are characterized by different maturation cask types, including specially selected ex-bourbon and rejuvenated oak casks for the Myth bottling as well as ex-peated quarter casks for Celt.
