Pig's Nose Blended Scotch brings together Scottish malt and grain whiskies. The components are matured predominantly in ex-bourbon casks, with a significant proportion of first-fill casks that are filled with Scotch for the first time after holding bourbon. This cask selection supports the blend’s smooth, sweet and creamy character.

The current bottling carries no age statement and is bottled at 40%. Its name refers to a comparison used since the brand’s beginnings: the whisky is said to be as smooth as a pig’s nose.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, creamy malt notes mingle with orange peel and toffee, while citrus and black pepper provide subtle accents in the background.
• Palate: The whisky is smooth, creamy and sweet on the palate, accompanied by gentle spice and a slightly salty, coastal impression.
• Finish: The lingering finish combines salted butter and caramel with a very subtle hint of smoke. Overall, Pig's Nose Blended Scotch remains a whisky that is not defined by smokiness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Pig’s Nose was launched in 1977 in Oldbury-on-Severn, England, as a companion to the Sheep Dip brand. After several changes of ownership, Alex and Jane Nicol acquired both brands in 2005 for their Spencerfield Spirit Company in Fife. Pig’s Nose has belonged to Ian Macleod Distillers since its acquisition of Spencerfield in 2016.

Spencerfield Spirit Company is responsible for the blend today within Ian Macleod Distillers, which bottles the whisky. Ian Macleod is an independent Scottish family business with a portfolio of its own whisky and spirits brands.
