Special features: This limited bottling of Port Askaig 15 years was composed from 30 refill hogsheads from an undisclosed Islay distillery and bottled after 15 years of maturation. The single malt was bottled at a robust 50.5% ABV, without chill filtration and without the addition of coloring, resulting in an authentic Islay whisky full of elegance and character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Roasted vanilla pods and smoldering hay are caressed by a sea breeze. After some time, strong coal smoke, grilled oranges, and oregano join in.
• Palate: Sea salt and lemongrass are at the forefront, while grilled fish, brown sugar, and light tobacco smoke provide an exciting counterbalance. The salty notes intensify and increasingly remind one of honeydew melon wrapped in Parma ham.
• Finish: Melon and rock salt linger with oily smoke and a sweetness carried by buttery toffee.
