Prinz combines fully ripe pears with cinnamon, cloves and allspice in this baked pear liqueur. The pear distillate is produced under vacuum, helping preserve the fruit aromas during distillation. With its velvety texture and pleasant sweetness, the liqueur evokes baked pears with winter spices.

The miniature contains 0.02 litres at 16% alcohol and offers a way to discover this speciality. The liqueur can be enjoyed neat or gently warmed and served with a topping of cream. It also brings its fruity, spicy flavour to tea, panna cotta or a pear parfait.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals ripe pears and a delicate, sweet caramel note. A hint of cloves and cinnamon rounds out the aroma.
• Palate: Juicy pear leads on the palate, accompanied by the spice of cinnamon and cloves. The texture is velvety and soft, with pronounced roasted notes reminiscent of baked fruit.
• Finish: Pear lingers for a long time on the finish, joined by gentle spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Fein-Brennerei Prinz is based in Hörbranz in Vorarlberg. Its history began in 1886, when fruit grower Thomas Prinz established a cider press and a cooperage. He registered the distilling business in 1921. Since 2017, Thomas IV. and Maximilian Prinz have run the family business in its fourth generation.

An important technical development came in 2004 with the introduction of vacuum distillation: reduced pressure lowers the boiling point by around 30 °C, allowing the fruit aromas to be treated gently. Since 2013, the nearby Obsthof Leiblachtal has processed fresh fruit into mash, fruit purée and juice for the production of schnapps and liqueurs.
