Quiet Man 10 y.o. Amarone Finish

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 43% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: No

Special Features:

This ten-year-old Irish single malt first matures in traditional casks before being finished in Amarone wine casks. It forms part of the limited Series No. 2 and is bottled in small batches. The bottling contains 0.7 litres and has an alcohol content of 43%.

The whiskey appears copper-coloured in the glass. Raisins, dates, tropical fruit sweetness and chocolate shape its fruity side, while vanilla, oak and delicate spice add further accents.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, raisins and dates combine with a delicate note of chocolate to create a deeply fruity impression.
• Palate: On the palate, smooth vanilla sweetness meets the spicy structure of oak.
• Finish: The finish is long and fades with vibrant citrus fruit.

Distillery/Bottler:

Niche Drinks in Derry is responsible for The Quiet Man brand. Ciaran Mulgrew named it after his father, John Mulgrew, who worked as a bartender in Belfast for more than 50 years, having previously worked in Cookstown. He was known as “The Quiet Man” because he kept his customers’ stories to himself; a photograph from his time at Kelly’s Cellars in Belfast became the brand’s visual motif. When the first whiskeys were launched in 2015, Niche Drinks already had more than three decades of experience producing and exporting drinks from Derry.
