A former Riesling white wine cask shapes RAMERO's first single-cask bottling. HEIMAT Distillers selected cask 086 from their own rum warehouse for this release. With a capacity of 300 litres, the cask brings dry, acidity-driven wine notes, yellow fruit and a creamy richness to the rum.

Diamond Distillery in Guyana distilled the rum from sugar cane molasses in pot and column stills in December 2018. It was bottled at 54.2% in 0.5-litre bottles in November 2022. The numbered edition comprises 545 bottles and comes with gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Pineapple, honey and the scent of homemade lemonade define the nose, accompanied by a spicy freshness.
• Palate: The rum is sweet and balanced on the palate. Fresh apples, nectarines and apricots meet candied lemons, honey sweets and a little caramel. Cloves, cinnamon and white pepper complement the fruit.
• Finish: The medium-length finish leaves a honey-sweet note.

Distillery/Bottler:

Diamond Distillery stands on the east bank of the Demerara in Guyana and belongs to Demerara Distillers Limited. The company operates the country's only remaining rum distillery. Alongside its own brands, it produces rum for brand owners in Europe and North America.

For RAMERO, HEIMAT Distillers handle cask selection and the maturation of the Guyanese rum. Their cask warehouse occupies a former natural stone works in Schwaigern. They work closely with wineries for their wine-cask maturations, selecting casks on the day they are emptied and promptly filling them with rum to preserve the wine aromas left in the wood. Temperature differences between summer and winter influence cask maturation in the warehouse.
