Special Features:

Sloes give this limited release its fruity character. Its gin base is made at Onder de Boompjes in the Netherlands using juniper, coriander, angelica root, lemongrass and cardamom. After distillation, the added sloes remain in the gin for six to eight weeks. This maceration brings the flavour of red forest fruits into the spirit.

This ruby-red Sloe Gin combines intense fruit notes with sweetness and spicy accents. It is bottled at 27% alcohol in a 0.7-litre bottle and is not chill-filtered. It can be enjoyed neat or with tonic and also works well in a Sloe Gin Fizz.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals intense dark berries and fruit, including blackberries, prunes and redcurrants. Plums, a delicate spicy note and fresh herbal hints of lemongrass and coriander add further layers.
• Palate: The palate is full-bodied, fruity and sweet. Sloes lead the way, accompanied by herbal spice and a spiciness reminiscent of mulled wine. Citrus and cardamom provide subtle accents.
• Finish: The long, smooth finish remains fruity, with gentle spice and fresh herbal notes lingering.

Distillery/Bottler:

Onder de Boompjes is based in Schiedam, a historic centre of Dutch distilling. The company's roots lie in Leiden, and the distillery has borne the name Onder de Boompjes since 1710. Alongside gin, it produces genever and whisky. Its activities today also include developing recipes, blending and bottling spirits for other brands.

Rammstein Spirits is created in collaboration with the Danish company 1423 ApS. For the band's official spirits range, 1423 sources the spirits, while the musicians take part in their selection. Onder de Boompjes distils the gin for this sloe edition in its old stills.
