Redbreast 12 combines traditional Single Pot Still production with maturation for at least twelve years. It is bottled at 40%, with a volume of 0.7 litres.

The mash combines malted and unmalted barley. The whiskey is then triple-distilled in copper pot stills and matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts. This cask selection shapes the characteristic sherry-influenced style of Redbreast 12.

The age statement indicates the minimum maturation period, not necessarily the exact age of every component. The blender may include older Single Pot Still whiskeys and marry components from casks with different previous uses to create a balanced bottling.

This product version includes a bottle containing 0.7 litres in the new gift packaging for 2026.

Redbreast 12 is produced at Midleton Distillery and released as an official bottling. All components are distilled, laid down and matured at Midleton. For the final marriage, the blender selects only Single Pot Still whiskeys of different ages and from casks with varying previous uses.

The Redbreast brand name has been officially documented since 1912. Today’s bottling continues this Irish Single Pot Still tradition through its production at Midleton.
