Finishing in former Gewürztraminer wine casks gives this XO bottling its distinctive character. The blend combines aged rums with spirits distilled from fresh sugarcane juice. The selected, previously used wine casks thus complement a base that brings together different sugarcane traditions.

Produced in small batches, this spirit comes in individually numbered bottles. Its character combines full-bodied sweetness with fruit and spice. Santos Dumont XO Gewürztraminer is offered at 40% alcohol in a bottle containing 0.7 litres and can be enjoyed neat or over ice.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals ripe tropical fruit, a little wine gum confectionery and milk chocolate. A subtle note of lovage sits in the background.
• Palate: The spirit feels warm and soft on the palate. Intense notes of ripe oranges and apricots lead, followed by coconut and spicy touches.
• Finish: The warm finish lingers, combining tropical fruit sweetness with returning notes of wine gums.

Santos Dumont is part of the A.H. Riise Spirits brand portfolio and pays tribute to the Brazilian aviation pioneer Alberto Santos Dumont. The year 1873 on the bottle marks his birth year. The connection with Brazil also shapes the brand's concept: spirits distilled from fresh Brazilian sugarcane juice are blended with molasses-based rums from the West Indies and Central America. The blends therefore bring together different raw materials and regional traditions.
