Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals bright, clean, and subtle aromas of applesauce, workshop, and raisin bread. These notes are delicate and unobtrusive.
- Palate: The high alcohol strength announces itself, followed by layers of spices, crème brûlée, turkey gravy, rum-soaked raisins, and chocolate cookies. Very complex, all presented subtly.
- Finish: The finish shows creamy notes of vanilla pudding, butter corn, accompanied by some cooking spices and burnt brown sugar.
Distillery/Bottler: Master of Malt was founded in 1985 in Tunbridge Wells, England, as an independent bottler. The brand is known for its cask strength bottlings and emphasizes quality. The "Elbows Up Edition" includes carefully selected whiskies. In 2025, the company returned to 100% founder ownership.
