Special Features:

Into the Blue is a 17-year-old single malt made from two separately finished batches of Glen Ord. Both initially matured in refill casks. One then spent five years in Spanish second-fill sherry butts. The other remained in refill casks for longer before receiving a three-year finish in Mexican ex-mezcal casks. Only then were the two whiskies combined, bringing rich fruit and aromatic spice together.

This bottling is part of the Diageo Special Releases 2025 and was bottled at 55.5%.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is mild, dry and aromatic. Delicate Eastern spice meets raisins and a vegetal mezcal note, creating a layered, finely defined impression.
• Palate: On the palate, the whisky is smooth, sweet and lightly salty. Bold ginger lends weight to its savoury flavour.
• Finish: The finish is long, savoury and warming, with white pepper. A few drops of water intensify the aromas without changing the balance.

Distillery/Bottler:

On the outskirts of Muir of Ord, Glen Ord Distillery produces the single malt for The Singleton. A 75-hour fermentation and slow, gentle distillation shape its approach to making whisky for the brand.
