Special features: The Slyrs 51 is a powerful single malt whisky from the renowned Slyrs distillery in Upper Bavaria's Schliersee. With an alcohol content of 51% vol., it presents itself as an intense representative of Bavarian whisky craftsmanship. The maturation takes place in new barrels made of American white oak, complemented by a finishing in barrels that were previously used for port wine, sherry, or Sauternes. This special barrel combination gives the whisky additional depth and complexity.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense aromas of dark wood and malted barley, accompanied by notes of ripe prunes and roasted chestnuts. A hint of moss and spruce, as well as a delicate chocolate scent, round off the bouquet.
• Palate: Strongly malty-aromatic with a complex flavor profile reminiscent of vanilla and hay. The bitter herbal notes are accompanied by a touch of clove and a nutty freshness.
• Finish: Long and intense with spicy-malty nuances that finish pleasantly dry.

Distillery/Bottler: The Slyrs distillery was founded in 1999 by Florian Stetter in Upper Bavaria's Schliersee. As the largest single malt distillery in Germany, it is dedicated to producing high-quality whiskies from regional raw materials.
