Special Features:

For the sixth Distillers Choice, distiller Silas Fischer selected three different casks: a former Cognac cask, a Canadian maple syrup cask and an American white oak cask. The white oak cask held the first whisky he distilled at SLYRS in 2017. Fischer married the whiskies from the three casks for this release of 992 bottles. It was bottled at 49.8%, without chill filtration or added colour.

Caramel and maple syrup lead the profile, while pear, cereal and oak remain distinct. Vanilla and spice add further notes. The whisky comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, sweet caramel and maple syrup meet delicate oak notes, pear and subtle cereal notes.
• Palate: On the palate, creamy caramel and intense maple syrup mingle with pronounced oak notes, accompanied by gentle sweetness and subtle pear.
• Finish: The finish is long and oily, with delicate spice and sweetness that fades slowly.

Distillery/Bottler:

SLYRS began distilling single malt whisky in 1999. Since 2007, it has operated its whisky distillery in Neuhaus on Lake Schliersee. It uses barley from the area around Munich and water from the Bannwald spring. Fermentation lasts several days before slow distillation in copper stills.

Silas Fischer joined the team in 2017. This Triple Cask is the first Distillers Choice released under his name. SLYRS Destillerie GmbH & Co. KG produced and bottled the whisky itself.
