Special features: This extraordinary single malt whisky from the renowned Talisker distillery has been aged for 45 years and then refined in specially treated casks. As part of a unique collaboration with the environmental organization Parley for the Oceans, twelve heavily charred American oak casks were taken to the Canadian Arctic. There, they were exposed to extremely low temperatures and icy winds for 96 hours, causing the wood staves to crack and intensifying the interaction between whisky and wood. This innovative method resulted in remarkable depth and complexity in the final product.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Rich, dry, and smooth, with a slight peppery tingle. Clear maritime notes of seaweed and iodine, accompanied by mineral hints of lime and sea salt. Underpinned by complex sweet aromas reminiscent of dried fruits and creamy vanilla, as well as a touch of light smoke and aromatic sandalwood.
• Palate: Oily and full-bodied, the taste begins with a buttery toffee sweetness that quickly develops into salty caramel, pepper, and a hint of chili. Despite its great age, an impressive intensity remains.
• Finish: Very long and waxy, the drop leaves a trace of salt, caramel, bold spices, and gentle smoke on the palate.
