This small-batch bottling is part of Signatory Vintage’s Un-Chillfiltered Collection, which returned in 2026. Distilled in 2016, the Highland single malt matured for a total of ten years, culminating in a finish in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads. Signatory Vintage bottled it in 2026 at 46%, with no added colour and without chill filtration.

Green apple and fresh grass keep the character lively, accompanied by honeyed malt and ripe orchard fruit. Raisins, dates, figs, dark berries and dark sugar syrup contribute the dark sweetness of the PX finish. Cocoa, dark chocolate, toffee, oak and warming spices give the whisky additional depth and structure.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals green and baked apple, fresh grass, honeyed malt, raisins, dates, dark sugar syrup and cocoa. Dark chocolate and nuances of orange peel, cinnamon and polished oak complete the profile.
• Palate: The whisky is rich and silky on the palate. Orchard fruit, dark sugar, chocolate, sweet malt, sweet barley and dried fruit combine with figs, caramel, dark sugar syrup, toasted nuts and warming spices.
• Finish: The long finish allows dark sugar syrup, raisins, dried-fruit sweetness and cocoa to linger. Oak, gentle oak spice and a grassy, malty note carry the pronounced sherry influence through to the end.

Distillery/Bottler:

Teaninich was founded by Captain Hugh Munro in 1817 and stands on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth. The Highland distillery produced the single malt that later received its finish in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads.

Signatory Vintage bottled the whisky in 2026 for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection. Andrew Symington founded the independent bottler with his brother in 1988; by 2007, the business had moved to the Edradour Distillery site near Pitlochry.
