Distillery/Bottler: Glencadam, founded in 1825 in Brechin, Angus, is a traditional Scottish whisky distillery. The name means "valley of the wild goose." The distillery uses water from Loch Lee and operates a wash still and a spirit still, each with a capacity of 14,000 liters. After a lengthy hiatus between 2000 and 2003, a standalone whisky line has been marketed under the Glencadam name since 2009. Glencadam is particularly known for its unpeated single malt, which matures primarily in ex-bourbon casks. The bottler, House of MacDuff, based in Renfrew, UK, stands for carefully selected, limited editions.
