For Batch 2, Malts of Germany selected six-year-old single malt from The Nine Springs and combined whisky from American oak casks with whisky from German Spessart oak casks. The whisky was bottled at 54%, yielding a total of 806 bottles.

The release is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring. Spicy Amarena cherry, dark fruit and dried herbs meet honey, toffee and vanilla. The whisky is dry, powerful and full-bodied on the palate, while the finish remains dry and spicy.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose brings together spicy Amarena cherry and dark fruit with dried herbs, honey and toffee, accompanied by a delicate hint of vanilla.
• Palate: The whisky is dry, powerful and full-bodied on the palate. Spicy Amarena cherry, dried herbs and vanilla give way to a pleasant oak spice.
• Finish: The finish is dry, powerful, long-lasting and spicy.

Distillery/Bottler:

Number Nine Spirituosenmanufaktur in Worbis began producing whisky in 2012. Its brewing roots influence production through a brewmaster’s approach to mashing, long fermentation and manual process control. The company manages its own casks, and its hand-bottled small batches are numbered.

Malts of Germany is an independent bottler specialising in whisky made in Germany. For this release, Malts of Germany created Batch 2 from selected cask contents and bottled the whisky at 54%, yielding a total of 806 bottles.
